Panasonic Lumix S 26mm f/8 review by Gordon Laing: fun or folly?
Both fun and folly I guess 🙂
Both fun and folly I guess 🙂
7Artisans has posted this image of a new lens on the Lumix S9. My bet is that this is the upcoming new 35mm f/1.4 autofocus APS-C lens:
Specs:
AF 35mm F1.4
APS-C
autofocus
size is 68mm×43mm
Weight: 180g
The Japanese store Mapcamera shared the top 10 of the best selling mirrorless cameras in July
Digicameinfo added a bit of context to the results (google translated):
Image on top shows the Canon 24-105mm f/2.8 lens (the Sigma will be a tiny bit smaller and lighter)
In early September, Sigma will announce its new 28-105mm f/2.8 lens for Sony E and Leica L cameras. I am told that the weight of the lens is less than 1 kg. This is considerably less than Canon’s 24-105 mm f/2.8, which weighs 1.3 kg. Filter size is same as the Canon: 82mm!
I think this could become a very popular lens!
You can now order the first third party L-mount af lens at Amazon US&EU and on Meike’s global store.
I have an exclusive rumor to share today! Multiple trusted sources confirmed that in early September we are getting the following new lens:
This has the potential to become a very popular lens like the Canon 24-105mm f/2.8. Yes, the Canon has a much more useful 24mm at the wide end but I have been told the Sigma weights less, is more compact and more importantly much cheaper!
I hope to get some images of this lens soon. If you happen to find some images please contact me at l-rumors@gmail.com or use this contact box.
That said, what do you think about this lens?
