PetaPixel: Grading Every Camera Maker: 2024 FINAL Review

The guys from PetaPixel ranked all companies including obviously Lumix and OM Digital.

Panasonic:
The problem they have with Panasonic is that they went very quiet in the second half of the year. Everyone was expecting updates to the S1R-S1H range. The only new camera was the S9, which was launched without the 18-40mm lens that could have made it interesting from the start.

From what I heard 2025 should bring many more Lumix cameras than we had in 2024. Hopefulyl soon I can tell you more about this 😉

Finally some good news: Panasonic officially registered a new camera, could this be the S1rII or S1hII ?

It’s official, folks! Panasonic has registered a new camera in China. This means that they are planning to officially launch a new camera within 3-4 months. All we can learn from this registration is that the camera supports 2.4GHz and 5.1GHz Wi-Fi. So this is definitely a mid to high end model.

At the moment, my guess is that it’s the new S1rII. But there is still the possibility that it is the S1hII. Hopefully trustworthy sources can tell me more about it soon!
