The new Q3 financial report says that camera sales were “sluggish” (mainly in Europe). Unfortunately Panasonic never discloses detailed reports about the camera business. But for sure it looks like cameras sales are worse than they forecasted 🙁
We learned Sigma will have a press conference on February 27 at 10:00–12:00 local time. There is no info about what new products we will get. I think it’s a safe bet to think new L-mount lenses will be announced. Maybe the 70-200mm f/2.8?
I hope Sigma will also spill out some more info about their future L-mount Foveon Full Frame camera!
DPreview tested the S1H and concludes:
The S1H brings the features and feel of Panasonic’s GH series to the L-mount full-frame system. It’s a compact and affordable package if judged according to the standard of its broadcast-grade footage. The rolling shutter figures are worth being conscious of, and the autofocus isn’t as impressive as the rest of the camera, but overall it’s a superb video tool that will address a wide range of needs.
