I completed a video mode test of the Sigma FP and found some issues with the quality of the DNG video. The scaling of the raw data from full sensor width to 4K / HD seems to be implemented imperfectly. Some other testers I spoke with confirmed that. I’m attaching a screenshot, and the video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlFncWktEl8 (it’s in Polish but with English subtitles)
We’ve been using the Panasonic S1H non-stop for almost two weeks. This 6k monster camera has worked its way into my heart and I’m incredibly impressed by its video functionality and ease of use to get some fantastic images. However its not for everyone because this is an eye wateringly expensive camera body that won’t fit into everyones studio. But how is it holding up?
We’ve been using the Panasonic S1H for a good while now and its time to talk about what are my favorite tips and tricks for using this beast of a camera. So what are those tips and tricks?!
Asked about a 70-200mm f/2.8 FE lens he made it clear this lens is coming. And I have no doubt there will be an L-mount version announced at the same time. My guess is that they will announce this lens by end of February at the CP+ show!
The Lumix 24-70mm f/2.8 feels like the missing puzzle piece that we have all been waiting for in the L-mount line up. It’s constant aperture, fast auto-focus and sharp images make it a must-have for any pro shooting on the Lumix S1 Series cameras, the Leica SL system or on a Sigma FP. We went out with Lumix Ambassador, Todd White and got to see it in action on a real-life client shoot.
